Using Ambient
Terms of Service
Effective September 17, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of Ambient. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use Ambient for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and devices, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless prohibited by law.
The service
Ambient provides AI-assisted software that can understand requests, work with user-selected context, operate supported applications, and propose or carry out actions subject to product permissions and approval controls.
Features may vary by device, plan, region, integration, and release stage. We may improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue features while taking reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary disruption.
AI output and human review
AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected results. You must review outputs and proposed actions before relying on them, especially for engineering, safety-critical, financial, legal, medical, employment, or other consequential decisions.
Ambient is not a substitute for professional judgment, qualified review, physical testing, certification, or compliance processes. You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to use an output.
Actions on your computer
You choose the permissions and context available to Ambient. Some actions require explicit approval. You are responsible for reviewing targets, files, recipients, amounts, and other material details before authorizing a consequential or irreversible action.
Do not use Ambient to bypass security controls, access systems without authorization, or perform unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive activity.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Ambient a limited license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and modify that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
You represent that you have the rights needed to provide the content and direct Ambient to process it. Do not submit content that violates law, confidentiality obligations, intellectual-property rights, or another person's privacy.
Acceptable use
You may not use Ambient to create malware, compromise accounts or systems, facilitate violence or exploitation, evade safeguards, impersonate others, violate export controls, infringe rights, or interfere with the service.
You may not reverse engineer or scrape the service except where applicable law expressly permits it, resell access without authorization, or use automated means that place an unreasonable burden on the service.
Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans, pricing, included usage, renewal periods, and applicable limits are shown when you subscribe. Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled unless stated otherwise. Taxes may apply.
You can cancel through the billing controls made available to you. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, charges are non-refundable.
Third-party services
Ambient may interoperate with third-party services such as Google, Supabase, AWS, OpenAI, Stripe, or software installed on your computer. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and their availability is outside our control.
Connecting an optional integration does not transfer ownership of your third-party account to Ambient. You may disconnect integrations through Ambient or the relevant provider.
Intellectual property
Ambient and its software, interface, branding, documentation, and underlying technology are owned by Ambient or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with your plan.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Ambient at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to legal obligations, prevent abuse, address nonpayment, or enforce these Terms.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute provisions—will survive.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ambient is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ambient will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Ambient's aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Ambient during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will post revised Terms here with a new effective date, and we may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to privacy@ambientexe.com.
